Working Principle of Lifting Hydraulic Cylinder for Aerial Work Vehicles

The hydraulic lifting cylinder uses the pressure of the liquid to achieve the lifting of the object. When the liquid in the hydraulic cylinder is pressed into the cylinder, the piston will be moved upward by the pressure of the liquid, so as to achieve the elevation of the object; On the contrary, when the liquid is discharged from the cylinder, the piston will be moved downward by the action of gravity, so as to achieve the lowering of the object. This working principle is based on PASCAL’s law, which states that when a liquid transfers pressure in a closed container, the amount of pressure is not affected by the shape and volume of the liquid, but only depends on the density of the liquid and the pressure inside the container.
