Details of Plastic Bevel Gears

Polyacetal Resin Bevel Gears, Ratio 1:1 - 5:1

Material: Polyacetal resin, die-cast.

Shaft angle set at 90°. Bores start from Module 1.5 and are precision-machined. These bevel gears are designed to operate exclusively as a pair at the specified ratio. Thermoplastic materials exhibit significantly greater thermal expansion compared to metals, a factor that must be accounted for when determining crown and flank clearance during gear installation. Crown clearance (Sk) is approximately 0.25 m, while flank clearance (Sc) is around 0.05 m. The thermal expansion coefficient is 1.1 × 10⁻⁴ 1/°C. Bevel gears are also offered with smaller bores or featuring a feather key groove.

Note on Gears Made of Polyacetal Resin: Due to the die-casting process, these components contain internal cavities. As a result, deep drilling should be avoided. When creating larger bores or grooves, these cavities may become exposed. In most cases, this does not compromise functionality.
