UCPX00 Series Pillow Block Bearing Units — Medium Duty, Setscrew Locking
The UCPX00 series occupies the load range between the standard UCP200 and the heavy-duty UCP300. The heavier housing cross-section, wider flange feet, and larger bolt circle of the UCPX00 provide substantially higher moment resistance and radial load capacity than the UCP200 at equivalent shaft sizes. The series covers 25 mm to 100 mm shaft diameter with the same setscrew locking principle as the UCP200, ensuring procedural familiarity for maintenance crews already working with the standard series.
Why Medium Duty? — Load Capacity Context
The UCPX00 housing is cast to a significantly heavier section than the UCP200. Compare the UCPX06 (30 mm bore, H = 47.6 mm, L = 175 mm, weight 2.10 kg) with the UCP206 (30 mm bore, H = 42.9 mm, L = 160 mm, weight 1.25 kg). The additional material in the UCPX00 housing increases the bending stiffness at the mounting foot and reduces housing deflection under off-centre radial loads from belt tension or chain pull.
The insert bearing in the UCPX00 is also a heavier UC series variant, carrying a higher static and dynamic load rating than the UC insert in the UCP200 at the same bore size. When a design calculation indicates that a UCP200 is marginal on L10 life under belt-drive loads, the UCPX00 is typically the next step before moving to a fundamentally different bearing type.

Selecting Between UCPX00 and UCP200
If an L10 calculation using the UCP200 rated dynamic load capacity gives a life of 30,000 hours or more, UCP200 is adequate. If life calculates below 20,000 hours and operating conditions cannot be changed, the UCPX00 higher rated load capacity at the same bore size will extend calculated life substantially. For loads that still exceed the UCPX00 capacity at the required shaft size, the next step is the heavy-duty UCP300 series.
