The GBC-NMRV-F is a flange-input, flange-output worm reducer that combines the versatility of the NMRV series with a square output flange for rigid, precisely aligned bolt-on connection to driven equipment. The IEC-normalised input flange connects directly to AC motors, DC motors, servo motors, continuously variable transmissions, and flanged electromagnetic clutch brake units without the need for an external coupling — saving installation time and reducing alignment errors.
The output flange is available in short (FA) and long (FB) configurations. The standard FA flange suits most general applications, while the FB long flange provides additional axial engagement depth for heavy radial or axial loads. Available in frame sizes from NMRV025 to NMRV185, with ratios from 5:1 to 100:1 and input power from 0.06 kW to 15 kW, the GBC-NMRV-F covers an exceptionally wide range of speed reduction applications.
Every unit is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 quality control. The housing is die-cast aluminum alloy (sizes 025–090) with shot-blasting and anti-corrosion phosphating treatment, or cast iron for larger sizes (110–150). The worm gear is precision-machined from a special wear-resistant nickel bronze alloy, and the worm shaft is 20Cr steel with carburization and nitriding for superior surface hardness. We use NAK/SKF oil seals, Shell-grade lubricant, and SKF/C&U bearings as standard. Contact us for a free engineering consultation.

Features & Benefits
✅ Flange Output (FA / FB)
Rigid square flange interface eliminates coupling misalignment. Short (FA) for standard use; long (FB) for heavy axial/radial loads.
✅ Direct Motor Connection — No Coupling Required
IEC flange input connects directly to motors, CVTs, and electromagnetic clutch brakes, reducing parts count and installation time.
✅ Nickel Bronze Worm Gear
Special wear-resistant alloy delivers superior durability and lower friction compared to standard tin bronze.
✅ Carburized & Nitrided 20Cr Worm Shaft
Dual heat treatment achieves exceptional surface hardness and core toughness for maximum fatigue resistance.
✅ Lightweight Aluminum with Anti-Corrosion Treatment
Shot-blasted and phosphated housing resists corrosion even in humid or mildly chemical environments.
✅ Self-Locking Worm Drive
At higher ratios, output cannot be back-driven — inherent holding capability without external brakes.
✅ Wide Ratio Range 5:1 to 100:1
Single-stage coverage for virtually all speed reduction needs. Combine with a second stage for ratios above 100:1.
✅ Universal Mounting & Large Torque
All-direction mounting with high output torque and smooth, stable operation.

How Does a Worm Gear Reducer Work?
A worm gear reducer uses a helical screw (the "worm") to engage the teeth of a perpendicular gear wheel (the "worm gear"). As the motor drives the worm, its spirals push the worm gear teeth, causing the output shaft to rotate at a reduced speed with multiplied torque. The right-angle configuration between input and output shafts makes the design inherently space-efficient.
Higher reduction ratios can be achieved by increasing the worm gear's circumference or reducing the number of worm threads. Compared with multi-stage spur gear trains that require more components and space, a single worm gear stage delivers the same reduction in a far more compact package — lowering cost and reducing the risk of component failure.
Installation Precautions
⚠️ After installation, thoroughly check the accuracy of the mounting position and verify all fasteners are secure.
⚠️ Before first run, remove the screw plug from the vent hole and replace it with the breather plug.
⚠️ Check and adjust the oil level according to your mounting position before starting.
⚠️ Run a no-load test for at least 2 hours — operation should be smooth, without impact, vibration, noise, or oil leakage.
⚠️ When mounting transmission members onto the output shaft, never strike with a hammer — use assembly jigs and bolts to press the component into place.
Operation & Maintenance
🛠 First oil change: After 200–400 operating hours.
🛠 Subsequent oil changes: Every 4,000 operating hours.
🛠 Each gearbox is fully filled with lubricant oil after assembly at the factory.
🛠 Maintain adequate lubricant level in the housing and check at scheduled intervals.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between FA and FB output flange?
FA is the standard short output flange for most applications. FB is a longer flange providing greater axial engagement depth — ideal for heavy radial or axial load conditions.
Can I connect any IEC motor directly?
Yes. The GBC-NMRV-F accepts IEC-standard flanges from 56B5 to 160B5, covering virtually all standard motors from 0.06 kW to 15 kW.
Can you customise the flange dimensions or housing colour?
Yes. We routinely supply custom flange bolt patterns, non-standard shaft lengths, special paint colours, and unique ratio configurations. Typical lead time is 15–25 working days.
What is the typical lead time?
Standard models are in stock and ship within 3–7 working days. Custom orders require 15–25 working days.
What warranty do you provide?
12-month warranty covering material and manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions.
What lubrication does the gearbox require?
Synthetic oil or worm gear oil (220# recommended). First change after 200–400 hours; subsequent changes every 4,000 hours.
Can the GBC-NMRV-F be combined with other gearboxes?
Yes. Common combinations include NMRV+NMRV double stage, NMRV+NRV, NMRV+PC pre-stage, NMRV+UDL variator, and NMRV+motor direct assembly.
What Our Customers Say
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"The FA flange output gave us a much more rigid connection than shaft coupling. Vibration dropped noticeably on our ceramic glazing line. The nickel bronze gear seems to be wearing better than our old units too."
— Marco B., Maintenance Manager,
Ceramics Machinery · Italy
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"We needed NMRV-F075 with FB long flanges for vertical screw conveyors. The self-locking function eliminates our separate brakes, and the phosphated aluminum housing handles the humid food plant environment perfectly."
— Chen L., Engineering Director,
Food Processing Equipment · China
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Ordered 40 units with custom silver paint for our OEM packaging machines. Delivered in 12 days, all dimensionally perfect. Technical support was responsive and helpful throughout."
