UKF200+H Series 4-Bolt Flange Bearing Units — Tapered Bore, Adapter Sleeve Locking
The UKF200+H series applies the adapter sleeve locking principle of the UKP200+H pillow block to the four-bolt square flange housing. Where setscrew and collar-based flange units require a prepared shaft surface for reliable retention, the UKF200+H mounts via an adapter sleeve that distributes clamping load over the full sleeve contact length — no brinelling, no fretting marks on the shaft, and no shaft surface damage on removal. This makes the UKF200+H the preferred choice for flange-mounted bearings on rough-turned or as-machined shafts, and for any application where shaft reuse between bearing replacements is important.
Adapter Sleeve in a Flange Housing — Installation and Removal
The H-suffix adapter sleeve (H2305, H2306, …) mounts on the shaft first, followed by the UKF200 housing which slides over the sleeve. The lock nut on the sleeve's smaller end is tightened to drive the sleeve into the bearing's tapered bore, expanding the inner ring uniformly onto the shaft. The 1:12 taper is self-locking under operating loads. Removal is the reverse: release the lock nut, slide the sleeve off — the shaft surface is unmarked and available for immediate re-use. Multiple sleeve variants (HS, HA, HE) per housing size allow a range of shaft diameters to be accommodated within the same housing without changing the flange bolt pattern.
