🆕 Series Overview

The POS series is the male-thread counterpart to PHS — a maintenance-required rod end with a bronze liner, lubrication groove and hole, and external thread for direct connection to female-threaded clevises.

Available in 13 bore sizes from 5 mm to 30 mm. Zinc-plated rod body with lubrication hole or grease cup in larger sizes. Left-hand thread suffix L; stainless steel suffix S.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

▶ How often should the bearing be re-lubricated?

Re-lubricate every 200 to 500 hours of operation depending on load, oscillation frequency, and contamination level. In wet or contaminated environments, increase frequency. Purge with NLGI-2 EP grease through the lubrication fitting until fresh grease appears at the bearing face.

▶ What grease type is recommended?

NLGI-2 lithium-complex EP grease for general industrial use. For low temperature below -20 degrees C, use low-temperature synthetic EP grease. For food-grade applications, use NSF H1 approved grease. Avoid mixing different grease types — purge completely before refilling with a different grease.

▶ Can the bearing be re-lubricated without disassembly?

Yes, provided a grease fitting or lubrication hole is accessible on the housing or rod body. Apply grease at low pressure until it exits at the bearing face or seal edge. Avoid high injection pressure that could displace lip seals.

▶ How do I order left-hand thread?

Add suffix L to the part number. Right-hand thread is standard and requires no suffix. Stainless steel variants add suffix S. Contact us to confirm availability for your specific size.

▶ What is the maximum misalignment angle?

The misalignment angle alpha (a) is listed in the specification table for each size. Do not exceed this angle in sustained operation. Edge loading caused by overangle rapidly accelerates wear at the spherical contact surface.
