🆕 Series Overview

The POSB series is the male-thread UNF inch counterpart to PHSB — an inch-dimension rod end with a bronze liner and external UNF thread for connection to female-threaded clevises. 9 bore sizes from 3/16 inch to 1 inch.

Dimensionally equivalent to US/UK inch standard rod end bearings. Suffix L and left-hand thread marking for left-hand variants. Bronze liner with lubrication hole or grease cup.

▶ What thread standard does the PHSB/POSB series use?

The PHSB and POSB series use Unified National Fine (UNF) inch threads. Thread specifications are listed alongside the bore diameter in the specification table. Ensure the mating clevis or rod end uses the same UNF thread class.

▶ Can metric and inch rod ends be used interchangeably?

No. The bore diameter and thread specifications are not interchangeable between metric (PHS/POS) and inch (PHSB/POSB) series even when nominal bore diameters appear similar. Always specify the correct series for your shaft and thread standard.

▶ What load units are used in the inch series specification table?

Cd (dynamic load rating) and Cs (static load rating) are given in pounds-force (lbf). Convert to kN by dividing by 224.8 if required.

▶ Is the bronze liner replaceable in the field?

No. The bronze bushing is press-fit into the outer race during manufacture and is not a field-replaceable part. When the liner is worn, replace the complete rod end bearing unit.

▶ What is the recommended re-lubrication interval for inch bronze series?

Re-lubricate every 200 hours of operation or more frequently in wet or contaminated environments. Use NLGI-2 EP grease or, for food-contact applications, NSF H1 approved grease.
