UCPW200 Series Tapped Base Pillow Block Bearing Units — W-Type Dual-Side Tapped Base
The UCPW200 introduces a tapped base variant where the threaded mounting holes are positioned on both sides of the housing centreline — the W designation referring to this bilateral hole arrangement. This configuration allows the mounting bolt pattern to match frame designs where the bolt positions are set outside the housing centreline — common in structural steel fabrications, rail-mounted systems, and equipment originally designed for inch-dimension bolt grids. UCPW200's compact M8 thread at 50.8 mm (exactly 2 inch) bolt spacing makes it a direct match for legacy imperial frame designs without adapters.

W-Type Hole Pattern — Configuration and Application Logic
On the UCPW201–204 (12–20 mm bore), the tapped holes are M8 threads in a 50.8 mm bolt spacing (J dimension) — dimensions that correspond to widely used inch-standard mounting grids at 2-inch centres. For larger bore sizes from UCPW205 upward, the thread steps to M10 and M12, and the hole spacing increases proportionally. The result is a tapped base pillow block that integrates cleanly with both legacy metric and legacy inch-standard machine frames across the 12–50 mm shaft range.

Key Features
🔧
W-Type Bilateral Tapped Holes
Threaded holes positioned on both sides of the housing centreline, offset toward the flanges. Matches structural frame bolt grids where hole positions fall outside the housing body centreline.
📏
Compact Thread Sizes from M8
UCPW201–204 uses M8 tapped holes at 50.8 mm spacing — matching 2-inch centre imperial bolt grids without adapters.
⚙
Setscrew Locking Insert
Standard dual setscrew retention at 120°. Same insert bearing and maintenance procedure as UCP200. Bidirectional and intermittent-duty capable.
↔
Wide Inner Ring Self-Aligning Insert
UC series wide inner ring. Spherical OD compensates shaft-to-housing angular misalignment. Wide inner ring provides setscrew seating surfaces and axial float.
▭
Low-Profile Housing
UCPW housing has a lower overall height than UCPA200 in some bore ranges.
✅
Drop-In for UCPW-Pattern Frames
GB, ISO, ANSI, JIS dimensional compliance. Direct replacement for UCPW-style tapped base units in existing machine frames.

Applications
⚒
Legacy Imperial-Frame Machinery
Bearing replacements in machines originally built to inch-standard frame designs where the 2-inch bolt grid at UCPW201–204 is a direct match.
⛏

UCPW200 vs UCPG200 vs UCPA200 — Tapped Base Selection
All three series use tapped base housing, but the hole pattern and position differ. UCPA200 has holes centred under the housing body — standard tapped base. UCPW200 has holes offset toward the flanges (W-type) with compact M8/M10/M12 thread sizes — for imperial-grid and light structural frames. UCPG200 uses a G-type hole pattern with different offset geometry. If the mounting frame bolt positions are unknown, measure the existing bearing housing hole pattern and match against the J and A dimensions in the specification table for each series.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the W designation?
W = bilateral tapped holes offset toward housing flanges, not centred under the body as in UCPA200.
Why M8 for UCPW201–204?
M8 at 50.8 mm spacing matches 2-inch imperial bolt grids — no adapters needed for legacy imperial frames.
Interchangeable with UCPA200?
Only if frame bolt positions match UCPW J and A dimensions — hole offset differs. Measure first.
What is the MOQ?
Standard parts: quantity-based MOQ. Samples 1–5 pcs. Multi-model from USD 1,500. Retail 1–2 pcs not accepted.
