UCC200 Series Cylindrical Cartridge Bearing Units
UCC200 is structurally different from the flange cartridge products around it. There is no four-bolt flange. Instead, the outside of the housing is cylindrical so the complete bearing unit can be installed into a machined support bore or custom block.
That difference changes the design conversation. The critical fit is between the cylindrical housing and its receiving structure, while the shaft is retained by setscrews. UCC is therefore a good option for compact custom housings, but it should not be cross-referenced by looking at FC bolt patterns because there are none.
For a wider housing comparison, browse the bearings range before finalising the mounting style.
A cartridge that becomes part of the machine structure
No external mounting flange
The unit is supported by a cylindrical cartridge body rather than a bolted face flange.
Machined-bore installation
The receiving block or structure provides the external location for the cartridge.
Setscrew shaft locking
The inner insert uses the familiar setscrew retention method.
12-65 mm published shaft range
The catalogue covers compact through medium shaft sizes with a relatively concise dimensional set.

The receiving bore is the first dimension to check
Use the product drawing as the final dimensional authority. The points below are practical filters that help narrow the correct model before a full drawing comparison.
The outside cartridge diameter and receiving bore condition are central to replacement compatibility.
Review how the existing design prevents the cartridge from moving axially within its support.
Shaft size remains essential, and the B/S dimensions should be checked around shoulders or spacers.
Wear, ovality or damage in the receiving bore can make a correct new cartridge fit poorly.
UCC200 published technical range
The table below keeps the catalogue values used for this series. Use the model-specific drawing for the final interchange decision; dimensions and suffixes can vary inside a family.

Design situations that suit UCC200
These are application patterns where the housing concept is commonly considered. Final suitability still depends on load, speed, alignment, environment and the machine designer’s requirements.
Custom bearing blocks
Machine builders can integrate the cylindrical cartridge into proprietary housings without a separate flange pattern.
Roller assemblies
Compact cartridge seats can support shafts in fabricated or machined roller modules.
Enclosed mechanisms
The absence of a projecting flange can help when the bearing station must sit inside a constrained structure.
Repair of purpose-built equipment
UCC is appropriate when the original machine uses a bored support rather than a standard pillow or flange block.

Why UCC200 is not an FC substitute
UCC200 belongs in machines designed around a cylindrical cartridge seat. If the support instead uses a round four-bolt face flange, compare the UCFC/NAFC/UEFC/UKFC families. If the machine uses a suspended hanger or foot-mounted block, the correct housing category is different again.
Fitting a cylindrical cartridge without damaging the support
Correct any burrs or damage in the receiving bore before installation.
Chips, corrosion and old compound can alter the seating condition.
The bearing should not be used to pull a misaligned shaft into position.
That information can save time on the next replacement cycle when the machine is already assembled.
Send the machine details for a model check
For UCC200, send the existing model marking, shaft diameter, mounting dimensions and a photo of the bearing position. GBC can review the information against the published series before quotation. Email: sales@australia-drive.com.
