UCHA200 Series Hanger Bearing Units
UCHA200 is made for a different mounting direction than a pillow block or flange unit. The housing hangs from a threaded top connection, allowing the bearing to support a shaft from above or within a suspended conveyor arrangement. The insert itself uses setscrew locking.
This geometry makes the upper connection and vertical position important selection points. When replacing an existing hanger, measure not only the shaft but also the thread/boss arrangement, housing height and the space around the suspended shaft. The catalogue covers 20-65 mm published shaft sizes.
For a wider housing comparison, browse the bearings range before finalising the mounting style.

UCHA200 published technical range
The table below keeps the catalogue values used for this series. Use the model-specific drawing for the final interchange decision; dimensions and suffixes can vary inside a family.

UCHA200 versus other hanger units
Use UCHA200 when the machine calls for the threaded-top hanger shape and setscrew locking. UEHA200 keeps the hanger concept but changes to concentric locking. UCHE200 is another hanger family with a more compact side profile and a different published dimensional envelope.
Typical suspended-shaft applications
These are application patterns where the housing concept is commonly considered. Final suitability still depends on load, speed, alignment, environment and the machine designer’s requirements.
Screw conveyors
Hanger-style support is widely used where a long screw or shaft needs an intermediate suspended bearing position.
Grain and feed handling
The vertical hanger arrangement fits many trough and conveying layouts that cannot use a pedestal in the product path.
Mixing shafts
A suspended bearing can support intermediate shaft positions in process equipment when the top structure is accessible.
Custom conveying equipment
UCHA can be integrated into frames that use threaded hanger points to set shaft elevation.
Designed to hang, not sit on a base
Threaded top boss
The housing is supported from above rather than through a foot or face flange.
Setscrew retention
The bearing insert locks directly to the shaft with setscrews.
20-65 mm range
Published sizes cover ten metric shaft diameters across the UCHA200 family.
Cast-iron hanger body
The housing provides a compact suspended support while the catalogue publishes L, H0, H, M, F and related dimensions.

Service checks unique to overhead support
The shaft and hanger structure should be supported so the bearing is not carrying uncontrolled weight during service.
Wear or damage above the bearing can shift shaft centreline even when the new unit is dimensionally correct.
Align the connected shafting first, then secure the insert according to the installation procedure.
Hanger locations are often inside conveying structures; clean the area before opening or replacing the bearing station.
Hanger dimensions that affect shaft centre height
Use the product drawing as the final dimensional authority. The points below are practical filters that help narrow the correct model before a full drawing comparison.
The support thread or hanger attachment must match the machine before bore size is finalised.
H0/H and related dimensions affect how the suspended shaft aligns with upstream and downstream supports.
Leave room for the insert, setscrews and any guards or conveyor components around the housing.
The hanger rod, bracket or frame above the bearing is part of the load path and should be checked during replacement.
Send the machine details for a model check
For UCHA200, send the existing model marking, shaft diameter, mounting dimensions and a photo of the bearing position. GBC can review the information against the published series before quotation. Email: sales@australia-drive.com.
