UEFT200 Series 2-Bolt Flange Bearing Units — Inch-Based Housing, Concentric Collar Locking
The UEFT200 series combines the inch-based FT oval flange housing of the UCFT200 with the concentric locking collar insert of the UEFL200 metric series. This pairing targets the specific case where an inch-standard machine frame dictates the use of an FT-format oval flange housing, and the operating conditions — high shaft speed, bidirectional rotation, or dynamic balance requirements — make setscrew locking inadequate. The UEFT200 is therefore the inch-housing equivalent of the metric UEFL200: same locking principle, same 360° uniform contact geometry, same bidirectional capability, but in the inch-dimension housing format that fits existing North American and British machine frame hole patterns without re-drilling.
Concentric Collar in an Inch-Housing Oval Flange
The UE series concentric collar insert applies 360° uniform clamping pressure to the shaft with no eccentric mass. Unlike a setscrew (which concentrates clamping force at two points) or an eccentric collar (which introduces a small imbalance mass), the concentric collar's symmetric geometry produces no net radial force at any rotation speed. This makes the UEFT200 appropriate for bracket-mounted fan shafts, winding machine spindle supports, and servo-indexed reversing drives in inch-standard machinery where both the frame bolt pattern and the operating conditions are constraints that must be satisfied simultaneously.
The concentric collar releases symmetrically in both directions, so the UEFT200 is fully bidirectional — it can be used on reversing drives, jogging drives, and oscillating shafts without the directional constraint of the eccentric collar. The B1 dimension (collar insert width) is slightly wider than the UCFT200 B at equivalent bore sizes: verify axial clearance before retrofitting into a position previously holding a UCFT200 setscrew unit.
